  COFIRMATION PREP PROGRAM

  Hello,
  
  We hope that everyone has had a great start to the new academic year.  Here at St. Francis Xavier and St. Albert the Great, our Faith Formation team has been hard at work preparing for this year’s Confirmation Program.  Similar to years past, we will be hosting a meeting for both parents and students on Wednesday October 4 th at 6pm. We encourage all to make every effort to attend.
  
  At this meeting, we will present our roadmap for the year and we will also introduce some exciting new initiatives we will be integrating into the program for the 2023-2024 season.
  
  The informational flyer as well as a schedule of key dates is posted here on the website.
  Further details regarding program requirements and other administrative items will be
  provided at the October 4th meeting and posted on the parish website.
  
  On a more somber note, we would be remiss if we did not inform you of the biggest change to our program this year, namely, the passing of our longtime program coordinator and friend Barbara Spink.   After a long illness, Barbara passed away shortly after seeing off her final Confirmation class earlier this year.  Anyone who knew Barbara knows just how much she loved working with teens and just how hard she strove to show them the work of the Lord in their lives so that they might come to know and love Him as she did.  We ask all families to remember Barbara, her husband Don, and her entire family in their prayers this year.
  
  With Barbara’s passing, the program will be led this year by Jack O’Reilly. Jack has long worked with Barbara on various aspects of the Confirmation Program over the past few years and is excited for the opportunity to continue the work that Barbara loved so dearly.
